The Camino del Norte is one of the predilect routes for many pilgrims who want to complete the pilgrimage of the Camino de Santiago. This way is as ancient as the French Camino, the European kings of the Middle Ages were inclined by it to reach Santiago.
As the Reconquista advanced and the southern lands recovered peace, the Camino del Norte gradually gave up protagonism. During centuries it was barely used by the pilgrims, however, the boom of walking to Santiago has returned its status as a route and begins to be again very popular.
Among the many options within the North Road, one of the most attractive is to start our trip to San Sebastian, thus enjoying a complete pilgrimage through the astur-galactic coast.
